The Child

The Child is the genuine, original and authentic Identity, the Divine Imprint, the Soul of God made in the Image of God. Called by any name you like, the Child is God's own Self Awareness. The Child is also the Glimpse, the Light breaking through as we begin to intuit, acknowledge and answer the invitation, and She knows what to do with these glimpses and glimmers. (See The Meadow)

The Child I am is God’s Self-Witnessing, the Knowing of Deity in action. God is The Knower, The Child (awareness) is The Knowing and the objective world of people, places and things is the Known. These three are a single one.

Our real Identity is The Child and He lives as the Balance, the Portal or Gateway between the Ineffable Presence and Its tangible depiction. The Child lives and is lived as this point in time and space and says, “I live in the world and the world lives in this Awareness I am, and all that is perceived is included within and as this Awareness of Deity."

This original Identity lives and has its being in God. God is the Source of this Child Consciousness which is the Subjective Truth and Subjective Identity within the Supernal Heart of Deity. The Child lives as Subjective Witnessing right here in the objective world, The Meadow, where she views the qualities and attributes of The Ineffable and Himself/Herself. These qualities and attributes are the description, the out-picturing, and the Knowing of God and His Awareness. The description and out-picturing is not God, but the holographic image of God and His Self Knowing. It is the image of the Unseen and Unknowable Source.

The way The Child acts in the world (The Meadow) is called the Divine Equation. (For an in depth account of "The Equation", see The Meadow). These three, The Child, The Equation, and Subjectivity are the three secrets spoken of by the Mystics and Ancients of the world. It is now time for them to be found by the Whole of Quantum Man.

“For there is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed and there is nothing covered that shall remain without being uncovered.” (Jesus, Gospel According to Thomas).

The incipient subjective intuition starts with the concept that everything is appearing within one’s head, so to speak. After all, what we see, hear, think, feel and believe comes to us by way of the photon (light) that is bringing information from “outside” us via our senses. Our brain filters that information, and interpretations about the world are then made based on our personal belief system. In other words, what we believe and expect to see is what appears in the "field of infinite possibilities".

This is how it was for me with my intellectual and conceptual understanding when I first began my subjective studies. As time went on, this Insight grew into the Realization that the brain, the body and all objects of perception are included within and as this Awareness I am. There is only this Awareness that is the perceiving and functioning of a Presence that is unseen and unknown, and this Presence is intuited and Self-confirmed continually tending to Its own functioning perfectly and lovingly.

The Child's secret of Subjective living is the realization that all that is perceived as “out” there is really within Oneself and as Oneself. This realization begins slowly and grows precept upon precept, a little here and a little there. It seems to coincide with the dismantling and unveiling of the me-sense, that notorious nothing that wants to be something.

These words will seem very dualistic to the absolute subjectivist of Myself. But even the absolutist cannot deny the seeming path of many steps that he takes to the “Cliff of Surrender”. For most people, they stop somewhere along the way becoming comfortable with their religion, metaphysics, spiritual studies, therapies and psychologies. But for those “others” who feel the Divine discontent within, there is an ongoingness where the willing and childlike take that final step off the “Cliff” into the “Abyss of Credulousness” to once and for all confirm for themselves that there is indeed a Presence present right here tending, protecting and loving them.

As previously mentioned, Identity/I as Awareness looks upon the qualities and attributes of the Ineffable. And so, The Child I am thinks, believes and acts like the child of my early years, prior to the veil of the suppositious image and the belief system that seems to be constructed, covering the Child’s/child’s innocence, trust, spontaneity, imagination, and non-judging credulousness.

The Child I am has learned to look into the world of Self-confirmation and live the understanding of contradistinction. Everything that arises and appears delineates the Good that is Already at hand. This is confirmed over and over countless times. No matter what the seeming, I take the stand that the shadow of the tree is not the real tree, but is the image leading to the tree that is source of the shadow. When I am aware of what the me-sense might call “bad” or "not good enough”, or whatever the judgment might be, I look for the "good" that is delineated. Even the deceiving me-sense itself delineates The Child I am. How can we know what sweet is without its opposite of sour? How about male/female, inside/outside, above/below, first/last, honesty/dishonesty? How could we know about the stars in the sky if it were not for the darkness of the sky that delineates them?

"The man is like a wise fisherman who casts his net into the sea, he drew it up from the sea full of small fish; among them he found a large and good fish, that wise fisherman, he threw all the small fish down into the sea, he chose the large fish without regret. Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear."
(Jesus, The Gospel According to Thomas)

There was a paradigm that I lived, to the best that I could, and I still continue to do so in those times when it seems that this Awareness I am is in need of help. I say, okay Child, “If God is good, and God is love, if God is All, then how does this seeming suffering or situation fit into this definition?" And I spend time writing and listening for the answer. I do this with childlike expectancy and anticipation that the answer will follow and that the answer will reveal how it is good beyond what the intellect might expect. Another practice and statement I use is “Now See Here, what is really going on?” Right now, this instant, for there is no other time; and right here, for there is no other Place, what is really going on? What is it that I really see? And as I do this, expecting and believing that only God/Good is on the scene and being the scene, the contradistinctive nature and meaning of tangibility makes itself plain to me.

“Blessed is he who shall stand at the beginning, and he shall know the end and he shall not taste death.” “Blessed is he who was before he came into being.” (The Gospel According To Thomas)

Awareness is the beginning and we stay there, which is right here, to the best that we can. We learn to do this, trusting more as we did when we were Children/children. We become childlike and we trust and believe that our Father/Mother God will tend to us as our parents tended to us in those very early years. We did not have to worry about where our next meal was coming from. We were clothed, sheltered and given everything we needed. We were loved, simply loved and cared for. It is here at this beginning that we become willing to look at “our” world with unveiled eyes, the eyes of an innocent child, and low and behold, we begin to see “a new found world”.

The Child lives the Divine Discipline of Unveiling the me-sense and its concomitant belief system and self-image. This belief system and image accumulates over time with one experience after another adding to the mirage of being. Just as it appears that we move and live sequentially with the images becoming more and more opaque, so too do we undo, unmask and unveil the mistaken identity bit by bit. But this is just how it appears; because the Presence and The Child We are has always been here awaiting our acknowledgment and call. The Discipline is to make it all the way to the “Cliff of Surrender" and the “Abyss of Credulousness” and not to stop until we find Ourselves at the Child’s peak of the “Mountain of Understanding”, perfectly balanced, the Door midway between the Unseen and the Seen.
